Some factors associated to the satisfaction of preterm infants’ parents with on quality of health services in Vietnam National Children’s Hospital and Thanh Hoa Pediatric Hospital, 2018

Abstract

Preterm babies need special health care because of the short - term and long - term consequences of premature for the babies. Since the preterm infants are not able to express their opinions so the satisfaction of their parents with health care is an important component in  evaluation the quality of care and treatment for the preterm infants. This study described some factors associated with the satisfaction of parents of preterm babies in neonatal care units of Vietnam Children’s Hospital and Thanh Hoa Pediatric Hospital. A cross - sectional study was implemented from Marth to September 2018. The sample size was 340 parents of premature infants in two neonatal units of two hospitals. The overall mean satisfaction score of parents was 3.61. Some factors associated with the satisfaction of parents of preterm infants were: hospital, length of stay, and the health status of preterm infants.
