Quality of life among heart failure patients and some related factors at Kien An Hospital, Hai Phong, 2020

The objective of the study is to describe the quality of life among heart failure patients and some related factors at Kien An Hospital, Hai Phong, 2020. The study was conducted on 104 inpatients with heart failure at the Cardiology department. The results showed that heart failure patient had an average score quality of life reached 57.16 ± 15.24; the highest was 84 and the lowest was 26. There was no difference in the quality of life between male and female, p > 0.05. There was a statistically signifcant difference between the quality of life of heart failure patients and the severity of disease (p < 0.05). There was a positive correlation between the quality of life and age of heart failure patient with r = 0.64 (p < 0.05). Therefore, it is necessary to propose interventions to improve the quality of life of heart failure patients at Kien An hospital, especially in the elderly group and in severe stages of the disease.
