Abstract

To estimate the rates of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infection and describe risk behaviors among men who have sex with
men (MSM), 400 MSM in Hanoi were recruited through respondent driven sampling (RDS) method and enrolled in a cross-sectional study in 2018. Participants were interviewed directly and anal swabs were collected. PCR was used to test HPV and sub-types infections. The study result showed the rate of any HPV infection among MSM was 26.5% and the rate of highrisk HPV sub-type infection was 19.0%. Risk behaviors to HPV infection of MSM group were using alcohol (71.5%), having the frst sex when 18 years olds or under (64.7%), having 2 regular partners (35.3%) and 3 regular partners or more (20.2%), having group sex (7.3%).
