Situation of treatment and prevention activities following technical levels at Ngan Son district health center, Bac Kan province in the period 2017-2019

Abstract

A cross-sectional study was conducted at Ngan Son district health center in Bac Kan province to describe situation of treatment and prevention activities following technical levels at Ngan Son district health center, Bac Kan province in the period 2017-2019. The research results showed that 85.7% of the preventive medical activities which were implemented at the district level met or exceeded the targets and 14.3% of the activities did not meet the targets. The implementation rates of medical techniques in the corresponding district level varied from 15.2% to 16.0%, and the rates in the higher district level were from 5.2% to 12.3%. Human resources, policies, equipment and budgets were reported as factors that influenced the operations of the district health center. Policies need to be designed to strengthen the capacity of district health centers to enable them to provide better health services.
