The objective of this study is to determine the rate of bacteria causing hospital-acquired infections at Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital in 2022 - 2023 and the level of antibiotic resistance of these bacteria. A cross-sectional descriptive study using retrospective data of 170 bacterial strains isolated from patients diagnosed with hospital-acquired infections was carried out. Results: Bacteria causing hospital-acquired infections included A. baumannii (42.94%), P. aeruginosa (18.24%), E. coli (13.53%), K. pneumoniae (20%) and S. aureus (5.29%). The rate of ESBL-producing E. coli was 34.78%. Resistance rate of E. coli to antibiotics: group A (72.22% - 100%), group B (6.25% - 90.91%), group C (95%) and in group U, no strains resistant to nitrofurantoin was observed. The rate of K. pneumoniae producing ESBL was 11.76%. Resistance rate of K. pneumoniae to antibiotics: group A (80.77% - 100%), group B (57.58% - 91.66%), group C (89.66%) and group U (77.78%). Resistance rate of A. baumannii to antibiotics: group A (83.93% - 93.33%), group B (78.43% - 94.74%). Resistance rate of P. aeruginosa to antibiotics: group A (55.17% - 100%), group B (75% - 86.67%).
