The objective of this study that was to research thyroglossal duct cysts with lingual type to be safe and effective post – operation prevented to avoid recurrent disease. Thyroglossal duct cysts are the most common congenital cervical anomaly. They can form anywhere along the thyroid’s route of migration between the tongue and the inferior neck. They often present as midline neck cysts closely associated with the hyoid bone. The infective process in the nasolpharyngeal area or thyroglossal duct inflammation was due to be cyst formation. The research subject was thyroglossal duct cysts with lingual type to be the rare type therefore there must had correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. This activity reviews the evaluation and management of thyroglossal duct cysts and We report clinical characteristics, subclinical features, surgical result.
