This study focuses on describing the result of communication models in reaching PrEP clients, an increasingly prominent HIV prevention method. Objective: (1). Describe the application of communication forms used in the client access model of Sexual Health Promotion Clinic (SHP); (2). Describe the results of the access models. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 4678 PrEPclients at SHP Clinic, Hanoi Medical University
Hospital, from May 2019 to September 2023 regarding clients access forms. The majority of PrEP program participants were in the age group of 18 - 25 years (57%), with 95% of clients being male who have sex with male (MSM). Among the seven outreach methods, the most common form of access was from collaborators (43.2%) and the least was from field sources (0.9%). These results highlight the role of collaborators in attracting clients, adding that diverse outreach strategies are also needed to gain participation from at-risk clients. Additional research is needed to explore new forms of communication to optimize customer outreach. Diversity in client access forms is crucial, alongside the need for further studies to explore new communication forms to optimize client access activities.
