Evaluation of the current situation of applying insect and rodent prevention measures at 135 Lo Duc facility, Center for Research and Production of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals, 2019 – 2023

Abstract

A cross - sectional descriptive study collected data reported at the Centers for Research and Production of Vaccines and biologicals (POLYVAC) facility 135 Lo Duc from January 2019 to October 2023 to describe the current status of monitor insects and rodents at the Center. As a result, 2281 insects and 4 rodents were collected. The most insect monitoring results in 2021 were discovered in the office sector, with 568 insects/12 months. There were 236 (10.3%) insects in all rooms of the Center in June. Rodent monitoring results also detected 03 mice in Mar. Jul and Dec in 2022 and 01 mouse in Jan. 2023. The study showed the presence of insects and rodents at the Center. It is necessary to maintain monitoring and implement insect and rodent control measures at Polyvac.
