Quality of life and related factors in lung cancer patients being treated at Ha Tinh General Hospital in 2022

Abstract

Lung cancer is one of cancers with the highest morbidity and mortality rates in Vietnam. A cross-sectional study was carried out to describe the quality of life (QOL) and related factors in lung cancer patients being treated at Ha Tinh General Hospital in 2022, using the QLQ-C30 scale. C30. The study was conducted on 161 patients. The results showed that the average score of QOL was relatively high (61.9/100 points). Emotional function had the highest average score (91.6/100 points), the lowest was social function group 72.9/100 points. This study shows a statistically significant relationship between the average score ò QOL and the following factors: age, sex, education level, family economy, exercise, duration of treatment and response.
