Clinical, subclinical characteristics and treatment result of patients with diabetets mellitus type 2 at National Instutute of Maritime Medicine in 2017

This study aims to describe clinical,
subclinical characteristics and treatment result of patients with diabetets mellitus type 2 at National Instutute of Maritime Medicine in 2017. A descriptive cross - sectional study through clinical examination, blood tests and monitoring
the treatment procedure of 62 patients diagnosed with diabetes mellitus type 2 who were outpatient at National Institute of Maritime Medicine. The research results obtained that the proportion of diabetic patients with fatigue symptoms was
(48.4%), excessive thirst (45.2%), increased
urination (38.7%), lose weight (29.0%); The
proportion of diabetic patients with hypertension was (51.6%), coronary artery disease (22.6%), Eye fundus lesions (12.9%), lower limb paresthesia (12.9%), kidney damage (6.5%); blood glucose and HbA1C concentrations of diabetic patients were 8.93 ± 2.19 mmol/l and 7.56 ± 1.36%. Good and moderate glycemic control increased after 3 months and 6 months of treatment. Control level of HBA1C in patients with diabetes increased after 3 months and 6 months of treatment.
