Abstract

Recent years, measles outbreaks have happened in many countries, measles incidence in children has increased. In Vietnam, infants under the age of vaccination (9 months of age) have high measles incidence, even deaths leading to the need to reduce vaccination age during an outbreak of measles. Vietnam had produced MVVAC measles vaccine from AIK-C strain, which was proven to be the safest in measles vaccine production strains by many researchs, suitable for use forpreterm infants and infants at 6 months. This review aims to provide systematic information regarding the safety and efcacy of AIK-C measles vaccine, further strengthen the scientifc basis of the use of Vietnam measles vaccine for infants at 6 months.
