Abstract

A cross-sectional and descriptive study was done to describe some risk factors related to uncontrolled type 2 diabetes patients in the Outpatient Department of Hungyen General Hospital in 2018. This study found that some risk factors that were signifcantly associated with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes patients include male gender, more than 60 years old, having no higher than secondary education, being in retirement, having BMI of more than 23, patients with comortalities, low income family, having type 2 diabetes for more than 10 years, history of alcoholism, do not exercise. Some risk factors that were not signifcantly associated with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes patients such as having type 2 diabetes for 6-10 years, having family memebers with history of type 2 diabetes, and history of smoking
