Determining the hospital’s disease model is necessary for identifying common diseases, providing funding options, and formulating drug lists and disease prevention plans. The study determined the disease model of outpatients at Thu Duc District Hospital in 2019 - 2020, the change of disease model over time, by purchase and patient groups. The obtained results show that the chapters of the hospital account for a large proportion of diseases, including respiratory diseases, circulatory system diseases, digestive system diseases, bone and connective tissue diseases, endocrine diseases, nutrition and metabolism. The chapters on common diseases are similar between quarters, especially the respiratory disease chapter increases in the last quarter of the year. There are differences in disease patterns by age group. Nearly half of the cases in the 0 - 15 age group are in the respiratory system chapter, while this rate in the 16 - 60 age group is more than 11%. More than 50% of patients over 60 years of age see an outpatient for conditions in the circulatory system and endocrine, nutritional, and metabolic chapters.
