The aim of this study was to assess the fetomaternal outcomes and factors associated with unfavorable perinatal outcomes among women with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDP). A cross-sectional study was conducted on 206 women with HDP who were delivered at National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology from March 2023 to June 2023. Our study showed that hepatic injury, renal injury, and HELLP syndrome were three most common maternal complications. The common perinatal complications were preterm delivery (59.2%), intrauterine growth restriction (24.8%), and fetal distress (10.7%). On bivariate logistic regression, variables such as pre-pregnancy BMI, type of HDP, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, platelet count, severity symptoms, birth weight, and maternal complications were found to be associated with unfavorable perinatal outcomes. On multiple logistic regression, diastolic blood pressure, severity symptoms, and fetal weight were found to be independent predictors of unfavorable perinatal outcomes. Antenatal care, risk factor management, and early detection of abnormal signs during pregnancy help to devise an appropriate monitoring and treatment strategies for each women with HDP.
