Relationship between the number of dengue cases with Aedes aegypti mosquito indices and some practical knowledge of people in An Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province during 2022 - 2023

The study aimed to describe the relationship between Aedes mosquito, larva (LQ) indices, knowledge and practice in Dengue Dengue (DHF) prevention and dengue case recording, thereby helping to develop a plan. effective local Dengue hemorrhagic fever prevention plan. A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in An Phuoc commune and Phuoc Long town, Dong Nai from April 2022 to March 2023. showed that at the study site, only the presence of Aedes Aegypti mosquito did not detect Aedes albopictus and cases were recorded in all months. There was a relatively close positive correlation between the insect density indicators. (DI), house with mosquito (HI), house with mosquito (Hilq), Breteau (BI) with Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) cases in An Phuoc commune from April 2022 to March 2023 (p < 0.05). In addition, the results also showed that there was a positive relationship between the index of water containers containing Aedes aegypti larva (CI) and the number of dengue cases, but there was no statistical significance (p = 0.097). Indicators DI, HI, BI, HIlq, CI differ from month to month, tend to increase in June, peak in July, August, and September and decrease from October.
