Impact of COVID-19 on Job, life and mental health amongst Thai Nguyen’s resident in 2020

To describe impact of COVID-19 on job, life and mental health amongst Thai Nguyen’s residents in 2020. A cross – sectional study was conducted at Thai Nguyen province. Total 350 residents attended an online survey during the pandemic in Vietnam. DASS 21 questionnaire was used to evaluate mental health status. Result: 55.71% participants are affected due to COVID-19 (jobless, change in number of working hours…); 64.86% was reduced daily expenses or received external fnancial
supports. 12.29%, 16%, 12.29% was anxiety, depression and stress, respectively. Participants with anxiety at age of 40 - 49 was 0.22 times in comparison with participation who are younger than 30, 95% CI (0.07 – 0.76); poor/near poor participants with stress was 5.12 times higher than group with normal economic status 95%CI (1.40 – 18.67) and participants with depression
at group went through pandemic location 6.6 times higher than group did not go through pandemic, 95%CI (1.19 – 36.57). Conclusion: Effects of COVID-19 pandemic include jobless, income. Mental health disorder was occurred and it was high in group of 40 - 49 years old, poor/near poor and passing through pandemic.
