Related factors of knowledge, attitude about adolescent reproductive health and safe sex practice of students at Phan Dang Luu High school, Hai Phong, 2021

Abstract

A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted among 435 students from Phan Dang Luu high school, Hai Phong from November 2020 to June 2021 to describe factors related to students' knowledge and attitudes about adolescent reproductive health and safe sex practices. The research results showed that the factors related to good knowledge including: female (OR = 1.5; 95% CI: 1.2 - 2.3), academic ability from good or higher (OR = 0.16; 95% CI: 0.1 - 0.4) and having a private room (OR = 2.4; 95% CI: 1.6 - 3.7). Factors related to good attitude are female (OR = 1.7; 95% CI: 1.1 - 2.5). The need for the cooperation of school, family and society to provide knowledge about reproductive health to adolescents.
