Characteristics of systemic lupus erythematosus and quality of life of patient at Nghe An General Friendship Hospital, outpatient clinic, 2020

The objective of the study was to describe the SLE and quality of life of patients managed at Nghe An Provincial General Hospital, outpatients. A cross-sectional descriptive study among 212 outpatients with SLE. Patient inclusion criteria were based on the ACR diagnostic criteria for SLE. Information was collected using variable-based questionnaires and SF-36 quality of life assessment criteria. Data analysis using SPSS 22.0 software and ratio analysis with test p < 0.05 for statistical significance level. The results show that SLE patients with 92.5% women, a long term diseases 5 years and more (65.1%), damage in many sites and organs (12.3%); average and low quality of life (accounted for 32.5% 48.1% respective). Average CLCS level improved after 3 months treatment (52.4% at the thirst month). Patients need to have a comprehensive suitable treatment plan.
