Abstract

The study aimed to describe the current situation of cyber violence against students at the University of Public Health in 2024. It was conducted on 239 students enrolled at the university from April 2024 to November 2024. The results showed that the rate of cyber violence (CV) among students was 89.5%. Among them, 84.9% were victims of CV, 55.6% were perpetrators, and 82.4% had witnessed CV. The rates of CV among male and female students were 81.4% and 92.2%, respectively. The most common forms of CV were text (79.5%), images (66.9%), and audio (58.2%). The most frequent topic of CV among students was romantic relationships (86.6%). Facebook was the most common platform for CV (54.4%). A total of 37.2% of students had coping measures when experiencing CV. Conclusion: The rate of CV among students is high, especially among female students. It is necessary to strengthen education to raise awareness about CV and how to respond when experiencing it, particularly in romantic relationships and on social media platforms like Facebook.
