Abstract

This cross-sectional study to describe the current status of adherence to the treatment of diabetes mellitus, was conducted on 318 patients with type 2 diabetes who treated in the out patient in at the Endocrine Unit of Hospital of Post and Telecommunication in 2019. The results showed that adherence to treatment of patients was quite good. The percentage of patients compliance was 84.9%; 90.3% of respondents complied with physiccal exercise, 95.0% of patiens nutrition treatment compliance, and 92.5% complied with the blood glucose control regime. There were 73.3% of patients with 4 treatment regimes, 26.7% of subjects do not comply fully with 4 regimes. Therefore, it is necessary to have support methods for patients’ better adherence treatment which improve patients’ quality of life in the future.
