A cross - sectional descriptive study was conducted to assess the working conditions of aquaculture workers in the coastal area of Hai Phong by measuring microclimate factors and dust content in the air; Direct interviews were carried out with lagoon owners and aquaculture workers. The study aimed to describe the current state of working conditions of aquaculture workers. The results revealed that during summer. Dust content at the time of pond renovation and fish feeding time was found to be three to four times higher than at normal times. The proportion of aquaculture workers equipped with labor protection gear varied widely, ranging from 2% - to 81.8%; however, regular use of such protection was reported by only 2.0% to 51.4% of workers; Alarmingly, 97% of aquaculture workers had not received training on occupational safety and hygiene, first aid or injury prevention. Additionally, none of the aquaculture facilities were equipped with medicine cabinets, first aid kits or first aid braces, and only 5.7% of facilities have wound dressings. Only 20.8% of aquaculture workers underwent regular health checks, although 92.2% processed health insurance cards.
