Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the management and treatment of diabetes patients at the district level in Ninh Binh province in 2022 - 2023, a noncontrolled intervention study design was used to research with a sample size of 141 diabetic patients. The study obtained results: after 3 months of treatment, the average values of fasting plasma glucose test, HbA1c, blood lipids test and blood pressure were lower than before treatment. The glucose control level reached the target and accounted for 51.8% and HbA1c was 50.4% (p < 0.05). After 6 months of treatment: The average value of the target indicators has decreased significantly, fasting plasma glucose test from 10.4 ± 2.79mmol/l to 7.03 ± 1.57mmol/l; HbA1c from 8.13 ± 0.98% to 6.73 ± 0.51 %; LDL-Cholesterol from 6,36 ± 1,29mmol/l to 5.19 ± 1.07mmol/l; Triglycerid from 2.95 ± 1.72mmol/l to 2.06 ± 0.91mmol/l (p < 0.05). Targeted blood glucose control reached 70.9% and HbA1c was 77.3% (p < 0.05). The study revealed that diabetic patients need regular advice on nutrition, exercise and treatment to increase treatment effectiveness. Patients consulted after 3 months and 6 months had a clear decrease in fasting plasma glucose test and HbA1c, this difference was statistically significant with p < 0.05.
