The objective of this study is to describe postpartum blood glucose disorders (BGD) and some related factors in a group of women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) treated with insulin. This was a crosssectional descriptive study with an analysis of 68 subjects with GDM treated with insulin at 4 - 12 weeks postpartum diagnosed with postpartum dysmenorrhea according to ADA 2020 standards. The research results showed that the prevalence of BGD in the insulin injection group was 69.1% (diabetes 35.3%, pre-diabetes 33.8%). In the insulin injection group, factors that increase postpartum dysmenorrhea include age ≥ 35 (OR = 4.8, CI 95%: 1.3 - 18.7, p < 0.05), giving birth for the 2nd time or more (OR = 3.5, CI 95%: 1.7 - 16.8, p < 0.05), excessive weight gain in pregnancy (OR = 4.4, CI 95%: 1.3 - 15.2, p < 0.05). There is no relationship between diabetes, family history of diabetes, BMI before and after pregnancy, time of diagnosis, OTTG results at the time of diagnosis, and postpartum dysmenorrhea. Therefore, postpartum BGD is common in women with diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes in the group who had insulin injections during pregnancy.
