The cross - sectional descriptive study aimed to describe COVID-19 prevention knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of people infected with Sars-CoV-2 and some related factors in Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province of Vietnam. The data was collected by interviewing 1012 COVID-19 patients from March to June 2022. The results showed that: 80.9% of study subjects achieved good knowledge; 93.8% got the right attitude, and 95.7% met the proper practice; overall, 73.2% of respondents achieved both knowledge attitude and practice. Some factors were related to people’s KAP: The ethnic minority group had a lower rate of achieving KAP than the other group (66.7% vs. 74,4%) p < 0.05; there were differences in KAP rate between the educational groups (p < 0.05). This study found that Hai Ha citizen’s knowlegde regarding preventive COVID-19 measures is inadequate. Differences in KAP were found among demographic variables. This research results showed that future awareness efforts should target less advantaged groups.
