Potential economic values of an effective physical activity and nutrition program to prevent type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension in Vietnam: an opportunity for the scale-up of interventions

Trial-based identification of effective interventions in a Vietnamese population is important to provide policy makers with scientific evidence to support good decision-making. However, the information these trials provide often requires additional data to fully estimate the benefit of the intervention in the longer term. Here, we provide an example which demonstrates the potential value of extending data collection, a conclusion we believe to generalise across many of the trials currently being undertaken in Vietnam
